GILBOA : Travel Management Software

Galor Systems: Distributors of the Most Innovative Travel Management Solutions in a Changing World

Orly Livnoni, CEO of Galor Systems and Software Development, today in its 16th year of business, looks back at the past year

Travelguide - After 15 years of intensive activity, how do you forecast the continuation of Galor activities in the next few years?

Orly - I am convinced that Galor will continue from strength to strength as a leading, sophisticated, and innovative travel management software solution company in the international market. We are continuously investing in R&D and product development to bring the very best solutions to our customers. Galor is proud of its technological strength and superior proven capabilities as well as its skilled and dedicated team of professionals.

We see it as our mission to continually enhance our flagship product GILBOA in order to take advantage of the latest software, computer and communications technologies so that our valued customers can benefit. GILBOA allows our customers to considerably speed up the reservation process and increase online sales, allows selling through multiple distribution channels, and optimizes productivity by removing labor-intensive tasks. Furthermore, by maximizing the automation process in the customers business, it improves both their in-house efficiency and their on-line profitability.

Travelguide - Are your customers able to keep track of the new changes and capabilities of the system?

Orly - We are investing a lot of effort and labor in R&D and new technological developments. For example, one of the things we are doing in order to better communicate the new functionalities of the system, is running a pilot with the "daily tip" to our users as travel agents, wherein every time the customer logs into the system, a new tip regarding one of the functionalities is highlighted. For tour operators, we publish a weekly bulletin, which details all new product updates. It is important for us to bring the highest level of training, customer service and support to our valued customers and partners.

Travelguide – What are the landmarks in terms of technological development that you see in the near future?

Orly - At Galor, we keep our finger on the pulse of the industry – we make sure to keep current with all developments related to the tourism and travel industry and the travel management market in general. Our product GILBOA has been developed and refined since the company's inception 16 years ago, in collaboration with many leading tour operators.

Some of the major developments we see are increases in online internet reservation bookings, changes in distribution channels, as well as changes in the requirements for command and control.

Already in 2005, we see online travel management reservation systems based on GILBOA’s technology offering B2B, B2C and B2E services. These systems are integrated to IVR, which are complex and sophisticated telephony systems. There is no doubt that the future will bring further integrations, for example to television and multimedia systems. Soon, complex reservation requirements can be accomplished through GILBOA’s user-friendly and intuitive system, through a simple push of a button. It is important to stress that Galor provides, even today to our customers, connectivity options to an enormous amount of value added services and travel and tourism products worldwide. We are speaking about tens of thousands of hotels, car rental companies, tourism attractions and more.

Travelguide - What can we expect to see in 2005?

Orly – The “hot issue” in 2005 is providing solutions for the corporate client. We already provide our customers that serve the business travel market comprehensive solutions that enable them to communicate with corporate clients and provide them with information, perform bookings and account reconciliation, as well as provide reporting and control all the processes.

Another parameter we are tackling is a solution for calls centers, which will enable our customers to operate a call center over the intranet and Internet. This will also provide them with the flexibility to manage, in a user-friendly manner, all the working processes with their clients on a single screen.

Travelguide - What can you tell us about Galor's activities in the international market?

Orly - Galor has been active in the international market for the past 3 years, with customers stretching all across the globe. These international activities were increased dramatically in 2004, with the winning of two projects: The first involves one of the largest and most reputable tour operator companies in the United Kingdom, in which GILBOA was implemented in their call center. The second project was implemented in the Asia Pacific region, in partnership with a local distributor, which provides comprehensive GDS services that include global travel-related information and efficient reservations functions in 24 countries.

Travelguide - How does Galor deal with the intense competition in the market?

Orly - I find healthy competition in the business environment to be a very positive element, which can only motivate the players in the market. Competition only better enables a company like ours to focus, to make enhancements to the product in terms of functionalities and customer requirements, more quickly than our competitors, and to make sure that the technology we offer our valued customers is the most developed, innovative, sophisticated, and user-friendly. The combination of advanced superior technology geared to the travel segment, and our dedicated professional team, allows us the possibility of dealing with every challenge. I am confident that in the coming years, more and more customers and partners will reap the benefits of Galor’s Travel Management Solution.
